Think of the great art destinations of the world and great festivals come to mind - Venice, Salzburg, Edinburgh, Miami or Ashland. Art festivals are signature entertaining and enlightening events. They bring communities together, promote tourism and nurture our spirits.

Our vision is simple, Sonoma County is becoming as well known for art as it is for wine. The Arts Council of Sonoma County began four years ago with Sculpture Sonoma, continued with Performance Sonoma, and last year presented Youth Arts Sonoma.

We now are ready to launch our second Arts Sonoma Festival, a county-wide celebration of performing and visual arts. We are already home to thousands of artists and fine arts groups. Arts Sonoma '10 is meant to take you beyond the core to places you haven't been before. There will be surprises on the fringe and lots to enjoy. This is truly Art Country.
